When you visit this site, your visit is anonymously registered using a self-hosted instance of Matomo. This means: * No Cookies: Your browser is not tagged or tracked. * Anonymised Data: Your IP address is masked (the last digits are deleted) before it is ever recorded. * No Third-Party Sharing: Because Matomo lives directly on my private server, your browsing data is never sent to tech giants like Google or Meta.

I only use this anonymous data to see which articles and downloads are the most helpful to the community, ensuring I create resources that actually matter to you.

The Newsletter: A Closed, Secure Ecosystem

If you choose to subscribe to my newsletter, I will ask for your email address and name.

To ensure maximum privacy, I do not use commercial mass-mailing platforms like MailChimp. Instead, my newsletter runs on a self-hosted system called Sendy. * Strict Purpose: Your email address will only ever be used to send you the newsletter you requested. It will never be sold, shared, or traded. * Secure Storage: All subscriber data is encrypted and securely stored on a private server (Cloud86) located in the Netherlands. * Data Retention: Your details are kept only for as long as you remain a subscriber. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. If you unsubscribe, your data is permanently deleted from the database.

The Website Architecture

To give you further peace of mind regarding technical security:

This website is a “static” site built with Hugo. This means the pages are pre-built text files. Unlike WordPress or other dynamic platforms, there are no databases running in the background of the website for hackers to exploit, and no hidden scripts scraping data from your computer.

Under Data Protection Principle 6 of the HK PDPO and the EU GDPR, you have complete control over your personal data.
